Steam Industry Free Theatre has announced a collaboration with celebrated choreographer Javier De Frutos to create a new theatrical trilogy to honour the Ancient Greek spirit of the Olympic Games.

Directed by Phil Willmott and with movement direction by De Frutos The Trojan War and Peace will be a new three-part version of The Oresteia
adapted from Aeschylus by Steam Industry Free Theatre.

It will be performed at the Scoop open air space next to City Hall (near Tower Bridge) and will be free of charge.

Described as “a three part epic drama charting Ancient Greece’s journey from chaos and war to peace, justice and the harmony that inspired the Olympic ideal” each evening will see all three plays performed: The Trojan Horse at 6.30pm, Agamemnon at 8.00pm and Orestes at 9.30pm. Performances take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5 July to 5 August 2012.
