It is rumoured that Elliot Davis and Busted alumnus James Bourne’s musical Loserville will be transferring from Leeds, where it recently premiered, to the West End’s Garrick theatre.

Loserville had reportedly also been in talks with the Phoenix Theatre, before jumping ship to the Garrick and pipping another prominent West End show to the post in the process.

Inspired by ‘Welcome to Loserville’, a 2005 album by Bourne’s solo project Son of Dork, Loserville charts the rise of a typical American high-school nerd from 1971 as he and his sci-fi-obsessed misfit friends try to change the world from their position of insignificance.

The Garrick refused to confirm rumours, but hinted that a more definite announcement is on the way regarding what will the gap left by Chicago after it closes on 1 September.
