Australian comedienne Caroline Reid – aka Pam Ann – will star in Pam Ann – Flying High at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre from 29 September to 10 October 2010. Reid, who portrays a 1960’s clad air-hostess, toured the UK late last year with her signature mixture of comedy, camp and glamour.

Reid has turned Pam Ann into something of a global phenomenon. In the autumn of 2007, the character starred in a hugely successful viral campaign for British Airways, which has received more than two million hits.

The comic, who has her own chat show in Australia, entertained fans in Germany, Holland and Scandinavia before jetting off to Canada and the US last year. Pam Ann has previously performed with Cher at the Wembley Arena as well as crewing for Elton John on his private jet whilst entertaining a collection of his star studded passengers. She brings a brand new show to the Vaudville Theatre this summer.

Currently at the Vaudeville, The Prisoner of Second Avenue, starring Hollywood’s Jeff Goldblum and Mercedes Ruehl, is due to finish its limited season on 25 September. Pam Ann will be followed at the theatre by An Ideal Husband from 10 November 2010 (previews from 4 November), starring Alexander Hanson and Samantha Bond.
