Cirque du Soleil will return to London's Royal Albert Hall in 2020 with their piece Luzia, making its European premiere.

Running from 12 January to 16 February, the show is inspired by Mexican culture and will feature a variety of acrobatic and artistic scenes as well as water effects – a first for a Cirque du Soleil show. 2020 also marks the 30th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil performing in the UK.

Luzia is the circus company's 38th show and features a cast of 44 artists. It first opened in the company's specially designed big top tent in 2016, and is currently touring north America.

The company's other productions include Toruk, which is based on the Avatar film franchise and will open in Manchester in June before running at the O2 in London.

Tickets for Luzia go on sale on 12 April.
