Two-time Olivier Award-winner Stephen Mear will direct and choreograph a semi-staged version of Guys and Dolls at the Royal Albert Hall for three performances in October.

Accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the production will be musically directed by James McKeon with design by Morgan Large.

Guys and Dolls is Frank Loesser, Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows' classic musical based on the stories and characters of Damon Runyon. It follows the tales of gangsters in New York and the love story between a gambling man and a Salvation Army woman and features songs such as "Luck Be a Lady" and "Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat".

Mear's West End credits include Singin' in the Rain, Sweet Charity and Gypsy. He won Olivier Awards for his choreography on Mary Poppins (with Matthew Bourne) and Hello, Dolly!.

Casting is to be announced and tickets go on sale on Friday.
