Peut-être Theatre presents a brand new dance-theatre production for 4 to 7 year olds. The Bug and The Butterfly is a heart-warming story in miniature about love, friendship, reaching for the moon and dancing leaf to leaf. Dance and music fuse with Spanish and English text in this exciting new show for children and their parents/families.

The production premiered at The Oxford Playhouse and now begins crawling all over the country. Bolton audiences will have the chance to visit the bug’s blade of grass and poppy as the show takes place at the Octagon this weekend.

The production was created with the help of primary school children who took part in workshops with entomologists, dancers and designers. After handling insects such as tarantulas, cockroaches, stick insects and scorpions the children invented their own theatrical stories which have helped to shape the new show, which promises to be funny, scary and moving.

The Bug and The Butterfly plays at the Octagon on Saturday, 22nd May.
