The play is revived for the first time in 20 years
London’s Park Theatre is set to host the first major revival of Neil LaBute’s The Shape of Things in 20 years, produced by Trish Wadley Productions and directed by Nicky Allpress.
LaBute’s play follows the story of Adam, a student who, upon meeting post-grad art student Evelyn, begins to undergo a transformation in appearance and confidence, leading him to question the extent to which he is willing to change for love and art.
The show features a cast including Peaky Blinder‘s Amber Anderson as Eve and Bridgerton star Luke Newton as Adam, with additional casting yet to be announced.
Set and costume design is being handled by Peter Butler, Anna Reddyhoff is responsible for lighting design, while Asaf Zahor is in charge of sound design. Alexandra Kharibian is the costume supervisor, and Amy Jane Blair is the casting director.
The Shape of Things will run from 24 May to 1 July, with the press night on 30 May.
