The musical Annie makes a return to the North West next month with a visit to the Liverpool Empire theatre.

Starring Su Pollard and David McAlister, the production was last in the region at the Lowry in July.

It appears for one-week only in September and features the well-known score including ‘It’s a Hard Knock Life, Easy Street’ and of course the legendary ‘Tomorrow’, along with new choreography and script.

Pollard, star of classic TV shows Hi-De-Hi, You Rang M’Lord?, reprises her role as the dastardly Miss Hannigan and David McAlister (Hollyoaks, Eastenders, and Brideshead Revisited) makes a return as the billionaire businessman, Oliver Warbucks.

Annie appears at the Liverpool Empire theatre 7-12 September this year.
