The old adage goes: a picture speaks a thousand words! So, we've chosen 50 gorgeous captured moments from last night's star-studded 22nd Annual WhatsOnStage Awards ceremony, as we returned for the first in-person event since 2020, to tell the story…

Alongside the lucky winners, a plethora of talented performers also took to the stage of the Prince of Wales Theatre to serenade fans and fellow nominees alike.

Musical theatre favourites, including Frozen's Samantha Barks, Pretty Woman's Aimie Atkinson, South Pacific's Julian Ovenden and Gina Beck, Moulin Rouge!'s Liisi LaFontaine and Jamie Bogyo and more, were all on hand to raise the roof.

In addition, last night's audience was also treated to an emotional tribute to the late great Stephen Sondheim, featuring an all-star ensemble.

You can also check out our comprehensive list of all the winners from yesterday evening here.
