
& Juliet, one of Broadway’s few major post-Covid hits, will end its run at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Sunday 3 January, after 20 previews and 1,723 performances.
The musical opened on 17 November 2022, and officially entered hit status in 2024. It is the only show from the 2022–23 theatre season still running.
Featuring songs by Max Martin and friends, and a book by David West Read, the musical is directed by Luke Sheppard and choreographed by Jennifer Weber.
The creative team includes Bill Sherman (musical supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements), Soutra Gilmour (scenic design), Paloma Young (costume design), Howard Hudson (lighting design), Gareth Owen (sound design), Andrzej Goulding (video and projection design), J. Jared Janas (hair and makeup design), and Dominic Fallacaro (music director, additional orchestrations, and arrangements).
Over the course of its run, & Juliet has grossed more than $175 million and played to more than 1.5 million audience members. According to press notes, the show has been responsible for 43 Broadway debuts among its cast members, while 8,447 pounds of confetti have been sprinkled into the audience at the Sondheim Theatre.
