Jesus Christ Superstar's Tyrone Huntley and The Greatest Dancer's Oti Mabuse will make their directorial and theatre choreography debuts respectively with a new production of Tony Award-winning musical Ain't Misbehavin'.

The new revival, produced by Paul Taylor-Mills and Mercury Theatre Colchester in association with Tamasha Theatre, will mark the first time that the show has been seen in London in almost 25 years. It first premiered at Manhattan Theatre Club in 1978, transferring to Broadway the same year, before running in the West End in 1979.

Mabuse is currently a mentor on BBC TV show The Greatest Dancer and was previously a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing. Huntley can soon be seen in new play with songs Leave to Remain at Lyric Hammersmith.

Ain't Misbehavin' is set in the 1920s and is based on the life of jazz musician Fats Waller, at the height of the Harlem Renaissance.

The show will run at first at Mercury Theatre Colchester from 15 to 30 March before transferring to Southwark Playhouse, where it runs from 19 April to 1 June.
