A new booking period has been announced for Tina the Musical.

The show is currently running at the Aldwych Theatre and is now booking until 20 July 2019.

The new batch of tickets will go on sale on 24 September. Plans are underway for a Broadway production and a German premiere will open at the Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg in March 2019.

Tina is written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, with choreography from Anthony van Laast. The piece tells the story of pop icon Tina Turner, from her beginnings in Tennessee to becoming the queen of rock 'n' roll.

Adrienne Warren is currently playing Tina, alongside Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Ike Turner. The current cast play 16 March 2019. Details of any changes to the cast will be announced nearer the time.

In her review of the show, Sarah Crompton said it uses "Turner's own back catalogue in inventive and imaginative ways to chart her difficult journey."
