The star was joined live on stage by the living legend herself yesterday
Tina – The Musical has found its new star in Adrienne Warren, and we got to chat to her about the production and her excitement at playing the role.
Mere minutes after performing live onstage with the actual Tina Turner, Warren discussed what it was like getting the part and what she'll be doing to bring the living legend to the stage.
Director Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia) joined Warren both onstage and off to discuss the project, and why Turner's story was so attractive to her.
Tina – The Musical with a book by Katori Hall and songs from Turner, is to open at the Aldwych next year with choreography from Anthony van Laast, set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.
Tina – The Musical runs at the Aldwych Theatre from 17 April until 16 June, with previews from 21 March.
