Six extends in the West End

The new musical Six, about the six wives of Henry VIII, is to run for a further three weeks in the West End, it has been announced.

The show will now run to 14 October, after opening on 30 August at the Arts Theatre.

The musical first ran in Edinburgh in 2017, before opening for a short run in London. After a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year, the musical will open for six weeks in the West End.

The piece, which is written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss and co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage, tells a pop version of the stories of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr.

The cast is Jarneia Richard-Noel, Millie O'Connell, Natalie Paris, Alexia McIntosh, Aimie Atkinson, Maiya Quansah-Breed and Grace Mouat. After the show's London dates, it tours to the Rose Theatre, Kingston, Southampton Nuffield Theatres, The Lowry in Salford and SEC in Glasgow. The show runs at 75 minutes with no interval.
