A week in the life of Giselle's Beatriz Stix-Brunell

The American ballet dancer takes us behind the scenes of The Royal Ballet's production

American dancer Beatriz Stix-Brunell trained at the Paris Opéra Ballet School and privately with Fabrice Herrault. At the age of 14, she joined Christopher Wheeldon's company, Morphoses.

She joined The Royal Ballet in 2010 and is now a First Soloist.

She has just finished dancing in The Nutcracker and is currently performing in The Royal Ballet's run of Giselle at the Royal Opera House from 19 January to 9 March. She will also dance the role of Perdita in The Winter's Tale on 15 February, 5 and 13 March.


Propping up the barre

BSB: "After I've sugared the Plum it's always the most gratifying feeling to go to Stage Door and meet the people who came especially to see you dance."
