‘Tis the spooky season, after all…

Spooky season is officially upon us, so we’ve decided to dedicate this frighteningly fun episode of “West End vs Broadway” to the smash hit horror Paranormal Activity.
Levi Holloway’s supernatural thriller – based on the much-loved Paramount film franchise and directed by Felix Barrett (founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk) – is now running simultaneously at London’s Ambassadors Theatre and New York’s August Wilson Theatre, so we’ve paired up current leading ladies Ami Okumura Jones and Cher Álvarez to pose and answer the questions that have always kept them awake at night (well, that and all those nocturnal activities of a paranormal nature, of course!).
You can watch the full video below (if you dare…):
Paranormal Activity tells the story of James and Lou, who move from Chicago to London in an attempt to leave their past behind, only to find that they remain affected by unexplained events.
The London cast also includes Ty Fanning, making his West End debut as James, Kirsty Bushell as Etheline Cotgrave and Pippa Winslow as Carolanne.
The creative team features Fly Davis as set and costume designer, Chris Fisher as illusions director, Anna Watson as lighting designer, and Gareth Fry as sound designer, with video design by Luke Halls and casting direction by Stuart Burt and Ginny Schiller and associate direction by Anna Marshall.
A separate production is also currently touring the UK and Ireland.
Paranormal Activity is currently booking through to 27 February 2027, with tickets on sale now.
