Gate announces cast for Eclipsed

Danai Gurira’s play was first seen in New York six years ago

Casting has been announced for the European premiere of Danai Gurira's 2009 play Eclipsed, which runs at the Gate Theatre from 23 April to 16 May 2015.

Caroline Byrne directs Faith Alabi (Maima), Michelle Asante (Helena), Joan Iyiola (Bessie), T'Nia Miller (Rita) and Letitia Wright (Girl).

Eclipsed, which is set during the civil war in Liberia, is the second and final production of Gate's Freedom Burning season, following The Rise and Shine of Comrade Fiasco.

Eclipsed opens at the Gate on 27 April 2015 (previews from 23 April) and runs until the 16 May.
