The actress will play an 11 date solo tour beginning in Belfast in May
Rachel Tucker, best known for playing Elphaba in the West End and Broadway productions of Wicked, has announced dates and venues for her UK tour, which opens in Belfast in May.
The actress, who rose to fame on Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC show I'd Do Anything, has played the green witch in Stephen Schwartz's production for more performances than any other actress in the show's history. Her other theatre credits include We Will Rock You at the Dominion, and Sting's musical The Last Ship on Broadway.
Now she will embark on a solo tour, directed by her husband Guy Retallack, performing musical theatre songs as well as some jazz and soul.
The tour opens at the MAC Belfast on 13 May before continuing to Gate Theatre, Cardiff (19 May), Gala Theatre, Durham (29 May), Grand Theatre, Lancaster (30 May), The Apex, Bury St Edmund’s (31 May), Capitol Theatre, Horsham (3 June), Live At Zedel, London (5 to 7 June), and Pizza Express Live, Birmingham (9 and 10 June).
