Simon Lipkin to play Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls

WhatsOnStage has learnt that Simon Lipkin is due to star as Nathan Detroit in musical Guys and Dolls.
Lipkin's agents Bloomfield Welch posted the news on their website – which was later removed. The news was also confirmed to WhatsOnStage by a source at the company, although they declined to give an official statement.
The source also confirmed that Lipkin will be starting on the same day as Rebel Wilson, who takes on the role of Miss Adelaide on 28 June.
Producers were unavailable for a comment.
Lipkin's previous credits include Avenue Q, Rock of Ages, The Lorax and I Can't Sing.
Last month it was announced that Wilson would make her West End debut in Guys and Dolls this month.
Guys and Dolls runs at the Phoenix Theatre until 7 January.
