More than 35 shows will offer free tickets to children throughout August
More than 35 shows will participate in this year's Kids Week, which offers free tickets for children throughout August.
The initiative, run by the Society of London Theatre, is now in its 20th year, and offers a free ticket for one child under the age of 16 when booked with an accompanying adult paying full price. In addition to this, two extra children can go half price with the same adult.
West End shows participating in this year's even include School of Rock – The Musical, David Walliams' Gangsta Granny and Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's Oliver Twist Created For Everyone Aged Six And Over.
It will also include West End long-runners such as The Lion King, Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera, and also offers the chance to see more recent productions including 42nd Street, Half a Sixpence and The Wind in the Willows.
There are also offerings for under fives, with The Hunting Of The Snark, We're Going On A Bear Hunt and What The Ladybird Heard all offering free tickets.
