Sheridan Smith announces UK tour

Funny Girl and Gavin and Stacey star Sheridan Smith has announced a UK tour, including one date at the Royal Albert Hall.

After her album is released next Friday, Smith will tour throughout April next year. She will open in Gateshead 10 April, Liverpool 13 April, Manchester 16 April, Blackpool 17 April, Nottingham 19 April, Norwich 22 April, London 24 April, Edinburgh 26 April and Cardiff on 29 April.

The tour is to promote her new album, which is released on October 27. Presale for the album opens 9am November 3 and whoever pre-orders Sheridan: The Album will get pre-sale access to the tour. The first 500 people who pre-order the album will also receive an exclusive photographic print of Smith.

The album sees Smith interpreting classics including songs from her favourite musicals such as "City of Stars" from La La Land and "I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls. The album also features pop songs such as "Crazy" and "Addicted to Love".

Smith has had an illustrious career on both stage and screen, including leading roles in Little Shop Of Horrors, Legally Blonde and most recently Funny Girl, as well as playing the young Cilla Black in the ITV biopic Cilla.
