Richard Bean’s new musical adaptation of the hit film opens this week
Images have been released showing Gemma Arterton on stage in new musical Made in Dagenham, which opens at the Adelphi Theatre on Wednesday.
Directed by Almeida artistic director Rupert Goold, with a book by Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors), music from David Arnold and lyrics by Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer: The Opera), Made in Dagenham dramatises the Ford sewing machinists strike of 1968 that aimed for equal pay for women. It is adapted from the 2010 film starring Sally Hawkins.
