Oldham Coliseum's Mist in the Mirror set for Yorkshire tour

Oldham Coliseum’s adaptation of Susan Hill's thriller The Mist in the Mirror goes on tour in spring 2015 with investment from Arts Council England’s strategic touring funds.

The play is adapted by Ian Kershaw and sees the Coliseum collaborating with digital scenographers imitating the dog, following productions of The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Life and Times of Mitchell and Kenyon.

Oldham audiences will get the first opportunity to see The Mist in the Mirror when it opens on 30 January at the Coliseum, running until 21 February. As a direct result of Arts Council England support, it will then tour to Doncaster’s Cast, Hull Truck Theatre, Wakefield Theatre Royal and Huddersfield’s Lawrence Batley Theatre.

Thanks to this investment by Arts Council England, we’ll be touring over the south Pennines into Yorkshire. As well as the Arts Council England direct support for our work touring into Yorkshire, The Mist in the Mirror will be touring to theatres in Exeter, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Nottingham and Coventry in 2015."

The Mist in the Mirror is a gothic fireside story which the audience is invited to eavesdrop on, with a traveller's strange tale of threats from beyond the grave.
