Come September, London theatregoers will be able to see two productions of Les Miserables in their capital city (See News, 15 Mar 2010). Ahead of that, on Sunday night at the Laurence Olivier Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, attendees will be able to see members (53 in total) of both Les Mis companies, including Gareth Gates, perform together for the first time, marking the biggest ever performance in the 34-year history of the Oliviers.
There will also be performances from Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Sister Act and Spice Girl turned Blood Brothers star and Olivier nominee Melanie C. Presenters joining host Anthony Head on stage will include: Jude Law, Kim Catrall, Rosamund Pike, Tamsin Greig, Rupert Friend, David Essex, Arlene Philips, Jill Halfpenny, Adam Cooper, Elaine Paige, Russell Watson, Duncan James, James Earl Jones, Larry Lamb and Barbara Windsor.
