Laura Linney, immersive Midsummer Night's Dream and Joanne Froggatt in new Bridge Theatre season

The Bridge Theatre has announced it will be bringing back Richard Eyre's production of My Name is Lucy Barton, with Laura Linney returning to reprise her role.
The piece originally ran at the theatre in June this year and returns between 23 January and 16 February. Elizabeth Strout's 2016 short novel is about a woman reflecting back over her childhood and her relationship with her mother and is adapted by Rona Munro for the stage. It garnered strong reviews, including five stars from WhatsOnStage reviewer Sarah Crompton.
Further productions in the theatre's season have also been announced, with Joanne Froggatt and Robert Glenister confirmed to star in Lucinda Coxon's new play Alys Always. Based on the novel by Harriet Lane, the piece is a psychological thriller about a woman who witnesses a crash which changes her life. The show runs between 25 Feb and 30 March.
Elsewhere, Hytner will also direct an immersive production of A Midsummer Night's Dream from 3 June to 31 August, with the creative team behind Julius Caesar. Bunny Christie will design the piece, which will have costumes by Christina Cunningham, lighting by Bruno Poet and sound by Paul Arditti. Music will be by Grant Olding.
