The ”Atonement” star will lead a production of ”Thérèse Raquin” next year
Keira Knightley, previously seen in the West End in The Misanthrope and The Children's Hour, is set to make her Broadway debut next year in Thérèse Raquin.
Helen Edmundson's new stage adaptation of the novel by Émile Zola will begin previews on 1 October 2015, directed by Evan Cabnet.
The production was commissioned by Roundabout Theatre Company.
The play sees Thérèse, who has made peace with her loveless marriage to a weak man, have her world turned upside down by the entrance of Laurent.
Unable to ignore their passion, the pair set off on a violent path that may have far worse consequences for the perpetrators than for the victims.
