Exclusive first look: Watership Down rehearsals at the Watermill

Rehearsal images have been released offering a first look at the cast of Watership Down rehearsing ahead of the upcoming opening night at The Watermill Theatre later this month.

Based on the bestselling novel by Richard Adams and adapted by Rona Munro, the production has a cast including James Backway as Hazel, Richard James-Neale as Bigwig, Alexander Morris as Fiver and Edward Bennett as Holly and General Woundwort.

Adam Penford directs the show which tells the story of the long and perilous journey of a small band of rabbits in search of a safe home.

Watership Down opens at The Watermill Theatre, Newbury on 20 June, with previews starting on 16 June.
