WhatsOnStage have been given an exclusive first listen to a track from the upcoming The Wind in The Willows cast recording.

Performed by Rufus Hound (Mr Toad), Simon Lipkin (Rat), Craig Mather (Mole) and members of The Wind in the Willows company, the track – "The Open Road" – is written by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe with orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke and David Shrubsole.

The cast also includes Neil McDermott as Chief Weasel, Denise Welch as Mrs Otter and Gary Wilmot as Badger.

The Wind in the Willows opens at the London Palladium on 29 June with previews from 16 June. The original cast recording will be released on 30 June.
