Artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe Emma Rice is to appear as part of the latest Tonic Celebrates panel.

Set up by Tonic, an organisation which supports the arts industries to achieve greater gender equality, Tonic Celebrates is a regular event which brings together inspirational women in theatre to discuss their careers, work and successes.

Rice will appear at the event on 19 October alongside playwright Tanika Gupta and founders of RC-Annie – a company specialising in fight directing – Rachel Bown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown.

Lucy Kerbel, director of Tonic Theatre, will chair the event, which will take place in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at 7.30pm.

The last Tonic Celebrates event was held at the Ambassdor's Theatre and featured Jessica Swale, Indhu Rubasingham and Paule Constable.

Tickets for the event start are £10 (plus transaction fee) and are available to buy through the Shakespeare's Globe website.
