Ronni Ancona and Imogen Stubbs are among those in the cast of Alecky Blythe’s new play
Ronni Ancona and Imogen Stubbs are among those in the cast of the upcoming production of Alecky Blythe's Little Revolution at the Almeida Theatre, which opens next month.
Blythe will also star in the show, which runs from 3 September to 4 October (previews from 26 August). Directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, it is a verbatim piece about the 2011 London riots in a similar vein to Blythe's hit National Theatre musical London Road.
The cast also includes Melanie Ash, Bayo Gbadamosi, Lloyd Hutchinson, Rez Kempton, Barry McCarthy, Lucian Msamati, Clare Perkins, Michael Shaeffer and Rufus Wright.
The company will also include a community chorus of Islington and Hackney locals brought together by the Almeida Projects team.
Little Revolution will be designed by Ian MacNeil, with costumes by Holly Waddington, lighting design by Guy Hoare and sound design by Paul Arditti.
