Oldham Coliseum and the Harrogate Theatre stage Alan Ayckbourn’s classic farce.
Alan Ayckbourn's classic comedy Bedroom Farce is being staged by Oldham Coliseum and the Harrogate Theatre.
The piece features three bedrooms, four couples and one chaotic night. The audience observe the different pressures of relationships at their different stages in the play which slices deep into the soul of suburbia.
Bedroom Farce plots the course of one frenzied evening where outrageously neurotic and self-involved couple, Susannah and Trevor, parade their problems around the bedrooms of three other couples, exposing the cracks in other peoples’ marriages as well as their own.
Presented jointly by Oldham Coliseum Theatre and Harrogate Theatre, Bedroom Farce is directed by a true Ayckbourn fan and former colleague Robin Herford. Highlighting the play's mechanical prowess, all three bedrooms will exist alongside one another, with the action flitting between them.
The cast includes Catherine Kinsella, Henry Devas, Chris Wilkinson and Lynette Edwards.
Bedroom Farce is at the Oldham Coliseum from 31 January – 22 February.
