New musical Knights of the Rose has found its lead star Gawain in the form of Andy Moss.

The actor, who is known for his roles in Hollyoaks, Doctors and recently completed the UK tour of Ghost the Musical in the lead role of Sam Wheat, will take on the production, which opens for previews on 29 June.

Moss joins the previously announced cast including Adam Pearce, Rebecca Bainbridge and Oliver Savile in the rock musical directed by Racky Plews, which features songs from the likes of Bon Jovi, Muse, Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, Enrique Iglesias and No Doubt, with an extra dose of chivalry for good measure. The piece focusses on a band of plucky and lyrically-inclined knights.

Moss said: "I am thrilled to join Racky and the incredible cast of Knights of the Rose. I have always had a passion for both rock music and theatre and where better to bring the two together than in this high-voltage, West End stage production."
