Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Florian Zeller's The Son at Kiln Theatre.

Amanda Abbington will star as Anne in the piece, alongside John Light as Pierre, Laurie Kynaston as Nicolas, Amaka Okafor as Sofia, Oseloka Obi as Nurse and Martin Turner as The Doctor.

Christopher Hampton's translation is the fourth premiere of the season at Kiln and the third in Zeller's trilogy of plays which also includes The Mother and The Father. Each of the plays in the trilogy also ran at the Kiln (formerly the Tricycle Theatre). The Son follows what happens when teenager Nicholas begins to unravel as his family breaks down.

Michael Longhurst directs the piece which has design from Lizzie Clachan, lighting from Lee Curran and composition and sound design from Isobel Waller-Bridge. It opens at the end of February and runs until early April.
