Alfie Boe and Danielle de Niese will star in a one-off concert at the Royal Albert Hall in October.

Entitled Songs from the Stage, the concert will see the pair perform songs from West End and Broadway stages.

Boe was recently made OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours, and will star in the upcoming Les Misérables all-star concerts at the Gielgud Theatre. De Niese was recently seen in the West End revival of Man of La Mancha at the London Coliseum.

The concert, which takes place on 20 October, will be conducted by Timothy Redmond and see performances from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Boe said: "I'm delighted to be performing with Danielle for the first time and especially at such a prestigious venue as the Royal Albert Hall. Danielle is an old friend and a fantastic singer, so Songs from the Stage is set to be a spectacular evening."

De Niese added: "Audiences can look forward to arias from Carmen and the Merry Widow, plus hits from musicals such as Les Misérables and West Side Story. It's going to be an unforgettable evening and we may have a few surprises in store too!"

Tickets go on sale to the public on 14 June.
