Kelli O'Hara: 'The King and I is very timely, it says live and let live'
We chat with the Tony Award-winner, Ken Watanabe and Bartlett Sher at the show's West End launch
After an award-winning run at New York's Lincoln Center, Sher's production transfers to the London Palladium from 21 June, with a cast that also features Ruthie Ann Miles, Dean John Wilson and Na-Young Jeon.
Set in 1860s Bangkok, the piece tells the story of an unexpected romance between a British schoolteacher and the King of Siam. Its classic songs include "Whistle a Happy Tune", "Getting to Know You" and "Shall We Dance".
