Casting has been announced for the touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which opens in February 2019 in Windsor.

Bill Kenwright's production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical will star Jaymi Hensley in the titular role, with further casting to be announced.

Hensley, who is part of the hit boyband Union J, said: "I cannot describe how excited and honoured I am to be stepping into the prestigious coloured coat! When I think of iconic roles in musical theatre Joseph was always one that I dreamt of playing growing up!"

The musical, which last toured in 2016 has original choreography by Henry Metcalfe and additional new choreography by Gary Lloyd, set design by Sean Cavanagh, sound design by Dan Samson and lighting design by Nick Richings. The piece features numbers such as "Close Every Door", "Benjamin Calypso" and "Any Dream Will Do".

Joseph opens on 20 February at Theatre Royal Windsor before visiting Folkestone, Crawley, Edinburgh, Rhyl, Newcastle, Chester, Cardiff, Darlington, Blackpool, Leeds, Derby, Ipswich, Birmingham and Oxford.

Casting for the new production at The London Palladium, which opens this summer, is to be announced.
