Everybody's Talking About Jamie to embark on UK tour in 2020

A UK tour has been announced for hit musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae's show, which is currently running in the West End, recently celebrated its 500th performance and will welcome a new cast including Layton Williams this evening.

The tour will commence at Sheffield Theatres, where it will run from 8 to 29 February 2020. Further dates are to be announced.

The musical first opened at Sheffield Crucible in spring 2017, transferring to the West End later that it year where it continues to run. The piece won a number of WhatsOnStage Awards in 2018, including Best New Musical.

The musical is based on the documentary Jamie: Drag Queen in 16, and will be adapted into a major film with shooting expected to begin in spring 2019.

Joining Williams in the show's new West End cast will be Shane Richie, Hayley Tamaddon, Sejal Keshwala and Sabrina Sandhu. Casting for the tour is to be confirmed.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is currently booking in the West End until 28 September 2019.
