Old Red Lion announce autumn season

As part of their autumn season, the Old Red Lion Theatre will stage a new strand of plays, music, comedy and poetry performances.

Produced by literary manager Clive Judd, The Rooftop Sessions will feature late-night performances of newly commissioned short plays written by Hayley Frances, Lisa Carroll, Marek Horn, Susie Sillett, Freddie Machin and Tom Wentworth. They will take place on various dates throughout September.

The event get its name from the set it will share with Irish writer John O'Donovan's debut play If We Got Some More Cocaine I Could Show You How I Love You. The play is the story of two men who are down in the dumps, but stuck up on a roof. It is directed by Thomas Martin (Ross & Rachel), and will run from 30 August.

London Horror Festival, which will feature shows from more than ten production companies, returns to the Old Lion for its sixth year from 10 to 30 October.

Where Do Little Birds Go? is the story of Lucy Fuller who is kidnapped by the Kray Twins, and locked in a room with an convicted murderer. The play, by Camilla Whitehill, returns to London after a sell-out run at The Vaults last year. It will open on 1 November.

Robert Lloyd Parry and his company Nunkie Theatre will retell H G Wells' sci-fi classic The Time Machine as a one-man play. It runs for one week form 4 October.
