We go behind the scenes with the star of ”The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time”
Joseph Ayre is currently starring as Christopher in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Gielgud Theatre. His previous theatre credits include The Cask of Amontillado at The Old Red Lion Theatre, and Macbeth at East 15.
We caught up with him to find out which five items he couldn't live without.
JA: This is crucial – anytime I want to get in the head of Christopher, the book is right there.
JA: I need a refuel at half time just to make sure I make it through.
JA: Jo Castleton, who plays Siobhan, made this to hang above my dressing table. The stars are made of the pages of the book.
JA: Playing a 15 year old means I'm not really allowed to have much hair. As well as waxing my chest (ouch!) I also need to keep a baby face.
JA: My wonderful girlfriend, Bethan, made me this. It's all the selfies I took from the first audition through to the first night.
JA: Christopher has an obsession with time and so do I. I'm constantly scared of being late.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time runs at the Gielgud Theatre until 18 February 2017.
