West End star Freddie Meredith joins the cast of SNL UK

Freddie Meredith has joined the cast of Saturday Night Live UK.

The actor and comedian, known for Such Brave Girls and Big Boys, joins the returning ensemble for the second series of the Sky comedy show.

Meredith recently made his Edinburgh Fringe debut with Need a Light?, which was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award.

He joins Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young in the cast. Meredith joins Animashaun, Fouracres and Marlow as having started out their careers in theatre.

Meredith trained at drama school before beginning his professional career in theatre. He subsequently moved into stand-up and sketch comedy, including creating short-form sketches online.

The second series of SNL UK will launch on 12 September on Sky and NOW, with the first six episodes airing through October. The opening episode will be hosted by Jeff Goldblum, with CMAT as musical guest.

The confirmed episode dates are 12 September, 19 September, 26 September, 10 October, 17 October and 24 October, with further episodes planned for early 2027.
