Full casting has been announced for the Young Vic's production of Twelfth Night, which opens at the beginning of October and marks the start of Kwame Kwei-Armah's inaugural season at the venue.
Joining the previously announced Gabrielle Brooks as Viola, Gbemisola Ikumelo as Maria, Jonathan Livingstone as Antonio and Silas Wyatt-Barke as Sir Andrew Aguecheek will be Melissa Allan as Feste, Gerard Carey as Malvolio, Natalie Dew as Olivia, Martyn Ellis as Sir Toby Belch, Jyuddah Jaymes as Sebastian and Rupert Young as Orsino.
The production also features 60 members of a community chorus, with two teams of 30 alternating shows.
Set in London's Notting Hill, Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub's musical reworking of Shakespeare's classic comedy was first seen as part of the Public Theater's Public Works programme in 2016.
It will be co-directed by Kwei-Armah and Oskar Eustis with music and lyrics by Taub, set design by Rob Jones, costume design by Brigitte Reiffenstuel, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, sound design by Richard Brooker, choreography by Lizzi Gee, musical direction by Sean Green and casting by Pippa Ailion.
