Ever walked around every theatre in the West End? We have and now you can without leaving your desk
It's 25 degrees outside and the sun is shining through the window casting an Elphaba shaped shadow across my desk, the noises of general merriment are beginning to build from the pub next door as people start their liquid lunch early and all I can think about is "how can I work outside this morning?"
Queue Stageylapse, a hyperlapse video of 36 West End theatres (sorry Palladium and Prince Edward are missing). Starting at the Piccadilly Theatre, home of Jersey Boys and ending at the Dominion, the total journey took just over an hour – or 9 minutes 40 seconds in Hyperlapse time.
Walking around the West End with just my 'selfie stick' for company was actually a very pleasant way to spend the morning – aside from continually being laughed at and the odd shout from builders including 'Oi! Selfie W**ker!' and 'SelfieGay!' – it's nice to remind yourself from time to time just how beautiful this place called theatreland actually is.
