The show will feature music performed live by actor-musicians
The cast has been announced for Peter Rowe's newest rock'n'roll pantomime Sleeping Beauty, which runs at Theatr Clwyd over the festive season.
Director Zoë Waterman (The Reubenstein Kiss) directs Sean McKenzie who leads the company in the role of Dame Tabetha Trott. Joining him making their pantomime debuts will be Britain’s Got Talent finalist James Ifan (Simon Steadfast), David Heywood (Mordred) and Emmy Stonelake (Frederica).
Completing the cast are Greg Coulson, Lynwen Haf Roberts, Rowan Talbot, Luke Thornton, Elian West and Zoe West.
McKenzie returns to Theatr Clwyd after starring in last year's pantomime, Aladdin. His other credits include The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Stephen Joseph Theatre), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (National Theatre) and War Horse (UK and international tour).
The production will feature some well-known tunes including "Superstition", "Celebration", "Every Breath You Take", "Hey Baby", "Sex Bomb". It marks Rowe's ninth rock'n'roll pantomimes with Clwyd, which allow the actors to assume to role of musicians throughout.
Sleeping Beauty runs at Theatr Clwyd from 28 November to 20 January, with previews from 24 November.
