Reece Shearsmith and Jessica Hynes conclude the line-up for White Rabbit Red Rabbit’s 15th anniversary run at the Duchess Theatre.

So far, Riz Ahmed, Nish Kumar, John Bradley, and Joe Lycett have performed Nassim Soleimanpour’s piece.

Each night, a different performer takes to the stage and receives a sealed envelope containing a script they have never seen before. The performer presents the play without rehearsal or a director.

First performed in 2011, the play was written while Soleimanpour was forbidden from leaving Iran. It explores themes including obedience, choice and freedom of expression.

Reece Shearsmith will take to the stage on 14 December and Jessica Hynes will take on the challenge on 30 November.

As previously announced, Olivia Cooke will perform next on 23 November.

The production has been performed more than 4,000 times and translated into more than 25 languages. Previous performers include Whoopi Goldberg, Cynthia Nixon, Michael Sheen, Ken Loach, Lenny Henry, Daisy Edgar-Jones and David Harewood.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit is the inaugural production from There & Then and presented in association with Nica Burns, the theatre company founded by Soleimanpour and director Omar Elerian. The company builds on their decade-long collaboration on cold-read productions including Echo and Nassim.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit runs at the Duchess Theatre, London, with performances on Mondays through 14 December.
