The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a gala at Hamilton in the West End last night in aid of Sentebale, a charity co-founded by the Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

The event was held to raise awareness and funds for the charity, which works with children and young people affected by HIV in southern Africa.

After the show, the Duke of Sussex joined Miranda and the cast of the show onstage to thank them for the evening, calling it spectacular. The Duke of Sussex began his speech with "You say…", a nod to the show's King George character, before thanking Cameron Mackintosh productions, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Miranda commented: "The show talks a lot about legacy, and what we leave behind. And I want you to know that tonight, because you came to see a show we've raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to make a better life for people through the amazing work Sentebale does. That's part of the true legacy that we get to pay forward."

He added "I'm so proud to be here tonight, so proud to represent this band, this cast, this incredible company so thank you so much for being here tonight."
