Pity at the Royal Court: first look at Rory Mullarkey's new play

Photos have been released offering a first look at Rory Mullarkey's Pity, which opens at the Royal Court this week.
Directed by Sam Pritchard, the piece is set in a market square that becomes increasingly surreal and asks whether or not the world is getting better or worse. Pity marks Mullarkey's third show at the Royal Court, following The Wolf at the Door and his translation of Remembrance Day.
Cast in the production are Paul Bentall, Sandy Grierson, Helena Lymbery, Sophia Di Martino, Siobhan McSweeney, Francesca Mills, Abraham Popoola, Paul G Raymond and Dorian Simpson.
Pity designed by Chloe Lamford, with costume design by Annemarie Woods, lighting design by Anna Watson, composition by Tom Deering, sound design by Pete Malkin and movement direction by Sasha Milavic Davies. It will also feature members of the Fulham Brass Band.
