Initial casting has been revealed for Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree, which will run at the Other Palace from 5 October to 15 November 2026.

The production sees Crouch perform opposite a different guest actor at every performance, with each performer stepping on stage without having read or rehearsed the play beforehand.

The first guest performers announced are Hammed Animashaun (29 October), Bessie Carter (16 October), Rosalie Craig (9 October), Sacha Dhawan (23 October), George Fouracres (10 November), Clare Perkins (13 October), Tom Mothersdale (14 October) and Gemma Whelan (15 October).

First performed in 2005, An Oak Tree has been staged in more than 19 countries. More than 350 performers have taken part over the last two decades.

The production forms part of Francesca Moody Productions’ season at the Other Palace, celebrating shows that first premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Also included in the season is Garry Starr: Classic Penguins, running from 22 October 2026 to 3 January 2027, while completing the season is Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen, which runs from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 and is written by Marcelo Dos Santos, directed by Matthew Xia and stars Steven Webb.
