Today we’re kicking off our Edinburgh Festivals guide for 2026.

Over the next seven weeks, we’ll be providing daily content from the Edinburgh Fringe and International Festivals, beginning with an array of features, recommendations and blogs, as well as podcasts with key Fringe individuals.

Last Friday we whetted your appetites with our “new musicals” round-up, and today we’ve published a new podcast with award-winning producer Francesca Moody.

Our features editor Tanyel Gumushan has been tirelessly putting together fascinating insights and stories from fringe-goers and artists, from the Voloz Collective to playwright Abigail Weinstock.

Next month, we’ll be publishing our daily “three to see” articles, as well as trekking across the city to review the most exciting and headline-making new work. Of course, we’ll also be penning all the breaking news from the festivals, including awards wins and industry developments.

The guide is below.
