Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables star Ramin Karimloo will perform a solo show on 13 January, with musical theatre hits from a variety of shows alongside new material Karimloo has written.

The Being a Man festival will return for its fourth year in November, featuring a series of pop-up performances musing on modern masculinity. Simon Amstell will do a one-off performance on the 25 November, to coincide with the release of his new book Help.

Elsewhere in the season, international company Dramanon will present an experimental play based on Yakshagan dance, discussing female representation in the modern world as part of the India@UK 2017 Year of Culture.

As part of their exploration of Nordic culture, the Southbank will present the show Tröll, based on Iceland's folk tales and settlement stories. It runs from 25 to 27 October.

From 9 to 11 November, Proto-Type Theater will present a foray into the world of global surveillance with A Machine They're Secretly Building.

Slava's Snowshow returns to the Southbank Centre with a combination of clowning and festive spectacle from 18 December to 4 January.
