The show will tour in 2018 before running at Sadlers’ Wells
Tour dates and venues have been announced for the New Adventures UK tour of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake.
The tour will begin at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 22 September before visiting Leicester, High Wycombe, Aberdeen, Nottingham and Salford.
In December 2018, the show will begin an eight-week Christmas run at Sadler's Wells in north London.
Bourne's Swan Lake is famous for replacing the female ensemble with male dancers as the swans. Since it was first staged at Sadler's Wells in 1995, the piece has won over thirty international awards including three Tonys and an Olivier Award.
New Adventures is currently touring the production of Matthew Bourne's Cinderella, which critic Sarah Crompton described as "storytelling of the highest order and brilliantly served by the dancers" in her five-star review.
Casting for the tour and further dates are to be announced in due course.
Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake will begin its tour in Plymouth before touring across the UK, and opens at Sadler's Wells on 4 December.
